Lone Tree Wilderness Camp
Lone Tree Wilderness Camp on Tswehe Wildlife Reserve is an off-the grid, rustic yet refined wilderness camp sleeping a total of 10 people in 5 tented units. An additional 6 beds can be made available on request. Each unit is equipped with two single beds, the most comfortable linen, a luggage rack to place your bags and belongings. A private deck with hammock and deck chairs is the perfect place to enjoy some solitude with minimal separation from the environment. The camp has 2 x family units which are connected by a walk-way above ground. All our units have en-suite bathrooms with a basin and shower. Hot water bucket showers from a donkey boiler are available in the 4 additional bathrooms slightly offset to the units.
The main living area boasts a stunning, fully equipped kitchen, fridges and freezers, where delicious home-cooked meals can be prepared by you or our chef. The lodge has a variety of comfy corners to hide away and read your favourite book, or to be gregarious and sit and chat or play games with family and friends. The centre of the lodge is Lone Tree itself, an ancient Nyala Berry tree, who over time has fallen over, yet continues to live and thrive. Below the tree is our fireplace and boma, and just across from there our swimming pool and deck for those hot, Tuli summer days.
The camp is about getting close to nature again, its about pressing a much needed pause in our hectic daily lives and fully experiencing the beauty of the wilderness and its inhabitants. At Lone Tree Wilderness Camp mankind and the animal kingdom live alongside each other in harmony, a truly life-changing experience.
